MDA members who purchase individual health insurance can select their health insurance plan for 2023 beginning this month. People who do not have health insurance may also select their insurance for next year. Open enrollment continues until Jan. 15, but to have a plan in place for Jan. 1, you must apply for coverage by Dec. 15. During open enrollment, insured people can switch carriers and plans and add eligible family members who are not currently on their plan. Uninsured individuals can enroll in a plan for 2023. November 1 to Jan. 15 is the only time people can enroll in individual health plans for 2023, unless they have a qualifying event. Don’t miss your chance get health insurance!
