All MDA Health Plan group sponsors must be members of the MDA.
If your membership lapses, your health plan will end. Please renew your
membership this fall when dues statements are released to remain a member
in good standing. Also, if you are a group health plan sponsor and the
ownership of your practice transitions, please alert MDA Insurance.
Second, plan sponsors should have a leave of absence policy on file with
the Plan. Your practice’s leave of absence rules determines the length of time
that an employee can remain on your office’s MDA Health Plan while on an
approved leave of absence. Examples include a medical leave of absence
(e.g., maternity leave), employment layoff,
