Mark your calendars! Open enrollment dates are set for 2020 health plans

Depending on the type of health coverage you need, the enrollment period for starting new plans, making changes to existing plans, or adding participants will vary.
• Individual health plans:
Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 New plans, such as MyBlue or subsidized health plans purchased through MDA Insurance via the online Marketplace, can be started Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 for a Jan. 1 effective date. It is the only time you can start a new individual plan unless you experience a qualifying event.
• MDA Health Plan: Oct. 1 through Nov. 15. New groups can be started at any time during the year!  The window for adding new participants or making changes to existing plans is Oct. 1 through Nov. 15 for a Jan. 1 effective date.
• Small group plans: New groups can be started at any time during the year!  The window for adding new participants or making changes to existing plans is during the month of the enrollment anniversary.
• Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Advantage and Medigap plans: Oct. 15 through Dec. 7 for a Jan. 1 effective date. This is the time for changes to Medicare plans.
