Recommended IT Safeguards:
- If you allow remote access to e-mails, remote desktop use, network/cloud user accounts, and virtual private network (VPN), require multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all users.
- Strong password requirements with regular changes and/or PIN or biometric identification requirements for computers and other electronic media devices.
- Perform a weekly backup on all sensitive, critical data, and all critical business systems offline or on a separate network.
- Require a secondary means of communication to validate authenticity of all funds transfer requests.
