We’ve done the homework for you with auto reform; special opportunity for your office By Jeff Spindler, Director of Property/Casualty Programs

Lost in the chaos caused by COVID-19 and
the recent election is the fact that auto insurance
drastically changed in the state of Michigan
on July 2. Since these changes affect policies
as they renew, there’s a possibility you have
yet to consider what they mean for you and
your family. In a “normal” year, this insurance
reform would be a really big deal. Since it’s
fallen into the background of importance, I
encourage you to learn about it, especially if
your auto coverage hasn’t renewed since
July 2. Fortunately, MDA Insurance has done
much of the homework for you and compiled
the information on our website, mdaprograms.
com, in plain English—or as plain as humanly
possible. It would be well worth your time
to review and understand it so you can make
informed decisions on your auto insurance.
Another option to learn about these changes
or ask questions to MDA Insurance staff directly
is to register for one of our new Sweet Rewards
presentations. While the thought of another
virtual meeting may not be appealing, this one
has a pretty unique benefit. If you have five
or more in your office participate, we’ll have a
delicious dessert shipped directly to your office
for you to enjoy during the short presentation.
It’s a great way to learn about the basics of
home and auto coverage, develop a better
understanding of the Michigan auto insurance
reform, and even gain a few pounds! There will
be time for general questions and answers, as
well. Even if you don’t carry your home or auto
insurance through our office, we’re happy to
provide this opportunity to you and your office
staff. Of course, we’re always willing to provide
quotes through one of our four A-rated personal
lines carriers, as well. We’ll even provide a
$10 gift card for anyone requesting a quote!
