If you are not part of a group (employer) plan and are under age 65, this is the time to select a health insurance plan for 2022. Enroll in a plan by Dec. 15 for a Jan. 1 start date. If you enroll between Dec. 16 and Jan. 15, when open enrollment is slated to close, your health insurance will begin Feb. 1.
