Dentists who carry their malpractice insurance through the MDA-endorsed Professional Protector Plan (PPP) will earn a 10% discount on their premium for three consecutive years by completing a PPP risk management seminar. Everyone who completes the course will earn 4.5 hours of CE credits.
The course is available to anyone and builds on the philosophy that dentists should have both adequate insurance protection and the tools necessary to minimize exposure to potential claims. The seminar will provide the latest claim statistics, as well as real life experiences of your colleagues who have encountered such exposures. Other topics covered include management of patient communications, implementation of effective risk protocols, principles of acceptable chart and record documentation, effective management of non-clinical issues and adverse events, and much more!
Due to COVID -19, classroom presentations of the PPP risk management program are on hold. However, the course is available online anytime at protectorplan.com/risk-management. PPP insureds may take the course for no cost; a $75 fee will be assessed to non-PPP insureds.
