Haven’t signed up for a 2018 health plan? There’s still time, and MDA Insurance has a plan right for you and your staff.
Choose from any of the 10 MDA Health Plans (including the two new LivingFit MDA Health Plans), or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network small group and individual plans. The MDA Health Plan and group health plans can be started by employers at any time. However, keep in mind small group health plans require a 30-day lead time and become effective on the first of the following month.
Those employees who are not members of a group health insurance plan will need to purchase an individual health plan in order to comply with the ACA’s individual mandate for health insurance. MDA Insurance can help with Blue Cross Blue Shield Individual MyBlue plans, as well as online marketplace plans. Time is running out to secure coverage for Jan. 1.
Open enrollment for Individual Health Plans:
Apply by Dec. 15 for a Jan. 1 effective date. The Marketplace window was shortened to 45 days from the 90 days previously.
